This is one of the key questions that have driven the development of Emotional Intelligence 'EI'. Contemporary theory has certainly gone the route of realizing that it is the soft skills, not the hard ones that make the difference in the success of an individual, team or organization.
A key milestone in this area has been the creation of effective tools in measuring the emotional intelligence of individuals, teams and organizations.
FCSL is certified in the Emotional Quotient Inventory 'EQ-i' tool. This instrument measures 15 EI competencies and gives a very good starting point for meaningful interaction as to strengths and areas for growth in the various competencies measured.
As with the MBTI there are various excellent applications for this instrument such as: leadership, staffing input, needs assessment, team building and training.
